I took myself out to the ballpark! and after my experience at Wrigley field to see the Cubbies play I have a renewed sense of America’s pastime. I took the L to the game and scalped a ticket outside, they know how to sell tickets in Chicago; hooked myself up with a lower level seat and had this shot taken between innings…The game was classic–Cubs lead going into the bottom of the 8th and..
And they blow it in the 9th, Lou Pinella was livid as he watched his boys squander the lead and end up with another Loss, It was amusing to see just how fired up he got on the local sportscast that night–Hey he had reason to–the cubs were up 7-2 and let the game slip away with passed balls and poor pitching. And we all know pitching wins or as in this case, loses games. Chicago is the only other place I’ve been where the sports fans, similar to Boston, New York and Green Bay know their sports. when they yell at their teams, the gripes they express all make sense and have a unique spin of insight on the team they call their own. At least my night got better as I went to see the second City comedy show. if you go to Chicago, it’s a must see. all the Saturday night Live stars started there. And it is hilarious. Every skit will have you in stitches.
